Owner's Story

My name is Jasmine Bhatti and I was born in a city full of dreams, San Francisco. Unfortunately, my family re-located into a small town in the Central Valley where life didn’t have much to offer. I was molded into a specific Indian stereotype that I had to become either a doctor or a lawyer. My older sister set a huge expectation for me because she became a doctor at the age of 25. My younger sister is fulfilling my older sister’s path by achieving a 4.0 gpa every single school year. My family didn’t recognize my beautiful hidden talents that were desperately begging to be discovered. It was very difficult for my parents to comprehend what my passion and God given talent was for. On top of my parent’s expectations were the vast amount of bullying I experienced through out my years of grade school. I was bullied for my out of the box personality and also my ethnicity. I never really had long-term friends and would have people back-stab me continuously despite the kindness I poured out to everyone I met. 

Later in college, I tried to fulfill my family legacy by trying to major in biology but ultimately failed. I struggled for 2 whole years and confessed to my parents that this is not the right path for me. I finally escaped the pressure from my family after 22 years and told them I’m going to do what makes me happy. I’m going to school for business and plan to be a certified MUA aka Makeup Artist. I’ve always wanted to become an influential public figure in society to help those who have been in the same shoes as I have. Through Niora Cosmetics I wish to spread my life story and message to others who have to suffer in this stereotype and for those who have gotten bullied. I would genuinely like to welcome you to my journey and your support would help me empower my journey for change.
